Request Read Confirmation

When you send an email, you have the option to request a "read confirmation," which prompts the email recipient to send a notification of delivery back to you.

To use this feature when sending an email from Speartek webmail, you can do the following:

  1. Login to your webmail account with your full email address and password. (Additional Information)
    • Note: The URL to access your webmail account is typically "pop." followed by your domain name. For example, if your website is "http://www.samplesite.com," then you would login to your webmail account at "http://pop.samplesite.com." Alternatively, you may login at "http://pop.speartek.com."
       
  2. Mouseover New in the top toolbar and select Message.
  3. Click Options at the top of the Message window.
  4. Check the checkbox to the left of Request read confirmation.
  5. Click the OK button.
  6. Compose and send your message.
     

To set this feature as the default setting within Speartek webmail, you can do the following:

  1. Login to your webmail account with your full email address and password. (Additional Information)
    • Note: The URL to access your webmail account is typically "pop." followed by your domain name. For example, if your website is "http://www.samplesite.com," then you would login to your webmail account at "http://pop.samplesite.com." Alternatively, you may login at "http://pop.speartek.com."
       
  2. Mouseover Tools in the top toolbar and select Options.
  3. On the Mail tab, select the Default subtab.
  4. Check the checkbox to the left of Request read confirmation.
  5. Click the OK button.
