- Click the OK button.
- Click Advanced.
Verify that the Advanced settings are correct:
- Enable this account (checked)
- Include when automatically checking for new messages (checked)
- Remove copy from server after retrieving a message (checked) (Additional Information)
- Note: With this checkbox checked, when you download new messages from the server, the messages are deleted from Speartek's mail server. If you access this e-mail account from different computers by using a mail client’s default POP3 settings, the computer that downloads a new e-mail message is the only location where the message is stored. The message is no longer on Speartek’s mail server and will not be downloaded when you connect from another computer.
- To view your messages from different computers, you can choose to leave a copy of messages on Speartek’s mail server. Should you uncheck the Remove copy from server after retrieving a message checkbox, then we recommend that you select “After one week” from the accompanying drop-down menu. This will help to prevent your mailbox on Speartek's mail server from reaching its storage limit.
- For more information about reading POP3 e-mail messages on multiple computers, click here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mail/3.0/en/9954.html
- If you configure Mail to leave messages on the server, you may need to login to your webmail account and manually delete these messages. For more information about accessing your webmail account on Speartek's mail server, please visit the Speartek Webmail Help section.
- Close the Accounts window.
