View Headers

Each message you receive has a detailed “header” section that shows the route the message took to make its way to you, as well as technical details about the message and sender. This information can be most helpful when troubleshooting an issue. Occasionally, we may ask you to provide these details. Please see the instructions below to view and send us your email message headers.

Outlook 2003

  1. Right-click on a message within the Message Pane and select Options.
  2. The header text will display in the "Internet headers" box.
  3. Select all header text (Ctrl-A), copy the selected text (Ctrl-C), and paste it (Ctrl-V) in an email to support@speartek.com.

Outlook 2007

  1. Right-click on a message within the Message Pane and select Message Options.
  2. The header text will display in the "Internet headers" box.
  3. Select all header text (Ctrl-A), copy the selected text (Ctrl-C), and paste it (Ctrl-V) in an email to support@speartek.com.

  1. Open the message in question.
  2. Click the File tab and select Info.
  3. Click the Properties button.
  4. The header text will display in the "Internet headers" box.
  5. Select all header text (Ctrl-A), copy the selected text (Ctrl-C), and paste it (Ctrl-V) in an email to support@speartek.com.

  1. Right-click on a message within the Message Pane and select Properties.
  2. Click the Details tab
  3. Click Message Source.
  4. Select all header text (Ctrl-A), copy the selected text (Ctrl-C), and paste it (Ctrl-V) in an email to support@speartek.com.

  1. Open a message.
  2. On the View menu, click Message Source.
  3. Select all header text (Ctrl-A), copy the selected text (Ctrl-C), and paste it (Ctrl-V) in an email to support@speartek.com.

  1. Select a message.
  2. On the View menu, click Message and then click Long Headers.
  3. Click the "Forward" button and send the email to support@speartek.com.

Speartek Webmail

  1. Open a message.
  2. In the top-right corner, click the Show Full Headers button (mouseover the 3 buttons for help text).
  3. Highlight all header text that displays at the top of this window, copy the selected text (Ctrl-C), and paste it (Ctrl-V) in an email to support@speartek.com.
